Bayesian approach for developing threshold color-difference models by the strip-pair comparison method

A Bayesian approach alternative to the one used in strip-pair comparison method for developing threshold color-difference models is presented this paper. Strip-pair based on construction of color-control strips made pairs patches put contact and ordered by increasing CIELAB color difference. Observers are required indicate number pair every strip which they begin perceive a just noticeable Frequency data obtained, from repeating several times visual assessment, recorded build multinomial logistic regression model, allows determination coefficients discrimination ellipsoids. The results agree closely with obtained validate same theoretical frequency data. main advantage over many other methods that it direct analysis statistical variability estimated parameters means confidence intervals measures variability.
